From Humble Beginnings

In 2017, after a lifelong passion for all that is mechanical, Lachy alongside wife Ruth Wall opened their first shop. The name was the creation of their accountant who always thought the hours that Lachlan put into his work was a bit ‘off the wall’. Given his surname, it was the perfect choice. From humble beginnings at Reservoir Road, closely followed by a second shop at Brown Street, the team has grown to nine staff (and one dog!) and a huge 600sqm shop at 99 Scott Street.

These guys are totally amazing! My Audi broke down on the way to Port Douglas. They came and retrieved it on their tow truck immediately. Lachlan took a look as soon as it got back to the workshop, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and my car was ready to be picked up the next morning! Absolutely brilliant! She runs like a dream! Will be taking all our other vehicles to these guys from now on. I would recommend them to everyone! Fast, efficient and reasonably priced, all with a smile! Thanks guys!

Only mechanic I’ve actually trusted. I moved to Cairns a year ago and was desperate for an inspection, nobody else could accommodate me but Lachy moved clients around and made sure to fit me in the same day.

Every time I’ve had an issue with my car, I have been delivered brutal honesty about what I do and don't need. It’s allowed me to make an educated decision about repairs on my car. You can genuinely tell Lachy isn't in it to rip customers off. As a female, I’ve had so many mechanics not give me the time of day, but here I’ve been given respect, education and I’ve saved money because I’ve been given options instead of being told I need to replace/repair and spend a fortune.
